Chocolate Chip Protein Pancakes

So, I found this recipe on  Sensual Appeal and it is just delightful.  Especially when you don't know what to fix, or just don't feel like cooking a big meal.  These pancakes definitely take care of the sweet craving without derailing your success.  Oh and I certainly can't lie, the mixture of chocolate and gooey peanut butter is just scrumptious!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 2 Tbsp almond flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1-2 Tbsp Old Fashioned oats
  • 3 Tbsp liquid egg whites
  • 1-2 Tbsp unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 Tbsp dark chocolate morsels
Instructions
  • Mix dry ingredients together. Add wet and combine. Heat some coconut oil on a pan and pour the batter onto the pan. Drop chocolate chips onto the batter when it’s started cooking. Cook on one side for about 3 minutes or so (on medium heat). Flip and cook some more. Enjoy!
  • I tried the sauce the way she suggested, but found it easier and better to just get some peanut butter on as soon as it comes out of the skillet....so it melts.  Mmmmmm!
